Install
Plug the Waveshare dial into a computer with a USB-C cable, and use Chrome or Edge.
A list opens. Choose the dial (on a Mac it is called USB JTAG/serial debug unit, on Windows something like USB Serial Device (COM4)) and press Connect.

Having trouble?
- No port in the list. Try another cable. Many USB-C cables are charge-only.
- The port is called usbserial or CH340. The plug is upside down. Flip it.
- Failed to open serial port. Close the Arduino IDE, any serial monitor, and any other tab of this page.
- The screen stays black after installing. Unplug it and plug it back in. If it is still black, install again and say yes to erase.
